Robert Zoellick was president of the World Bank Group from 2007 to 2012. Previously, he served in the cabinet of US President George W. Bush as trade representative and deputy secretary of state.

Zoellick entered public service in 1985 and held various positions at the Treasury and State Departments. He is currently chair of Goldman Sachs’ Board of International Advisors and a director of Temasek, Singapore’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, Laureate International Universities, the National Endowment for Democracy, and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Zoellick is also a senior fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.

Zoellick graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Swarthmore College in 1975. He earned a JD magna cum laude from the Harvard Law School and a MPP from the Kennedy School of Government in 1981.

 

Zoellick joined the Dialogue as a Member in 2007.
