Anna Herrero Tejada joined the Inter-American Dialogue in June 2020 as a Research Associate for the Education Program. Previously, Anna worked as a Project Associate for the Center for Public Research and Leadership at Columbia Law, where she contributed to the formative evaluation of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Networks for School Improvement strategy. She has also interned at UNESCO’s Regional Office for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean and at the Inter-Agency Network for Education in Emergencies. Anna graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with an MA in International Educational Development and holds a first class honors degree in Anthropology from University College London.
Inter-American Dialogue documents and evaluates HISPASAT’s e-learning solution as a comprehensive model with the potential to respond to the challenge of meaningfully connecting students and teachers in remote schools in Latin America.
In this report, we explore the potential of technology for early years support and development, basing this analysis on an investigation of 21 cases from Latin America.
